Do you only work with Christian authors?
My name is Gregory Gobin, and I handle all of the editing within the company, unless if I am completely booked, then I would schedule you with another editor on my team. We specialize in Christian authors and clean manuscripts. I also work with non-Christian writers whose projects align with our brand (no explicit content or profanity).
What genres do you edit?
I work on middle-grade, YA, and adult fiction (spiritual horror, suspense, speculative, contemporary), plus select nonfiction (devotional, testimony, teaching). If you’re unsure, send your sample and I’ll confirm fit.
What’s the difference between developmental editing and copyediting?
Developmental focuses on structure, pacing, character, and big-picture story issues (you receive an editorial letter, chapter notes, and an optional treatment/outline).
Copyediting addresses grammar, clarity, consistency, and style at the sentence level; you receive Track Changes and a style sheet.
How long does it take?
The free 5-page sample edit is usually returned in 2–3 business days. Full manuscripts typically take 4–5 weeks, depending on length and level of edit.
How do you price projects?
Developmental edits start at a flat fee; copyediting is billed per word. After reviewing your 5-page sample, I provide a custom quote based on word count and edit level (light/mid/heavy).
Can my manuscript need both developmental and copyediting?
Yes. Many projects benefit from a dev edit first and copyediting after revisions. I can quote these as a package or in phases.
Do you offer proofreading?
I primarily provide developmental and copyediting. I can refer you to a trusted proofreader for a final pass after layout.
What formats do you accept?
Please send .docx (Microsoft Word) with Track Changes enabled. Double-spaced, 12-pt font is ideal.
What are your payment terms?
Typically 50% to book your slot and 50% on delivery. Payment plans are available for longer projects—just ask in your inquiry.
